Become a Traveler

One Cohort Training Session

Here, we will dive into where you are and where you want to go. This option is perfect for new/small organizations and new grant professionals taking those initial steps into grant work. This session is designed as an intensive introduction into everything you will need to know about philanthropy and grant funding so you start in the right place.

You probably have so many questions and we want to get them answered for you!

Deliverables

What does $150 get ya?

Information and Direction
This is not your average training webinar! You will participate in a two-hour training and information cohort with nonprofit leaders and grant professionals. We keep the cohorts small so there is plenty of room to ask your specific questions. The course includes helpful templates and worksheets you will take with you.

One-on-One Session
You can schedule one virtual call, post-session, to ask even more questions about where you are and where you need to get. This call is the best way to understand how you will move forward with grant work.

Connection to Wellness
You deserve balance in your professional and personal life. Your time and energy are not unlimited. Many of us need reminders to stop and breathe. Our wellness resources are those gentle reminders.

News and Updates
You will be added to our email list that ONLY shares updates on resources and wellness. We will not overrun your inbox!

Curated Resources
We know there are amazing resources out there. When we know more about you, we can connect you to the resources that make the most sense for you.

Grant-Readiness Assessment
We will help identify areas within your program design, budgeting, and strategic plan that might not translate well to a funding audience and give you some direction to tighten those things up.

Access to Village Connections
Joining community groups of practice and professional organizations can be expensive. We are fortunate to be a part of some wonderful groups that you might not be ready to join. We are happy to tap into those networks to find answers for your particular needs.

Who is it for?

If you have ever said these words, this cohort is for you:

“I am thinking of starting a nonprofit organization.”

“Ok, I have started a nonprofit organization and I need to find grant money.”

“I would like to be a grant writer. Where do I start?”

“Our nonprofit organization is not very big, but we need to find a way to find grants.”

“I think we are ready to write grants. How do we find someone to help?”

“Can we find someone to write grants for us for free?”

“I want to get more experience grant writing. Can I write grants for free as I’m learning?”

What makes it different?

This cohort has been created for the very beginning stages of understanding grant work and philanthropy. There are many, many resources for people exploring grant work but not all of them are designed to offer the basics with one-on-one help. The cohort model allows for cost sharing among group members while still being able to cover specifics for each participant. It is also uniquely designed for both nonprofit staff members, grant professionals, and folks who aren’t either yet. We can’t promise the Traveler Cohort will bring money into an organization, but we are confident that it will keep you from wasting time and money on the wrong things at the wrong times.

The Traveler Cohort is for anyone who needs foundational understanding of grant writing and where charitable money comes from.
